SECTION 3 PREPAREDNESS -Philadelphia International Airport

Submit a document describing the preparation efforts in place, the preparedness efforts planned and the resources identified to be able to respond to the two ONE hazard you identified in your risk assessment.

For ONE of your top hazards, you should describe

• how you will monitor the changing hazard potential,
• what triggers will you use to initiate actions (monitoring, or response),
• what governance will be in affect during the emergency, and what current limitations do you have on that governance affecting decision making authority, spending authority, etc… What policy, ordinance, statute changes are required to implement that authority in your situation.
• what response actions you will include in your emergency operations plan,
and for those actions what are the emergency preparedness elements including

◦              the planned actions and management of the response action

◦              resource (equipment, people, information) needs,

◦              how the resource needs will be met,

◦              what the training plan is (including skills assessment, preparation, drills, exercises, and performance assessments),

• how this preparedness fits “upward” with the community plan (if at a company level), or the next higher level of government plan (if a government entity)
• How this preparedness fits “downward” with local company and citizen plans (if a government entity), or customer, supplier, and employee plans (if a company level).
• What special planning needs are there for “special populations” affected by your plan.
• What functional anexxes would you put in the plan (this is probably the list of response actions you plan to include)

What hazard or situational anexxes would you put in the plan (you don’t have to develop them)
