In this assignment, students apply the COPA Practice Competencies to three clinical nursing experiences.
Directions

Use the COPA_Model Assessment Assignment Format(which will be an attachment with this order)
Review the COPA Model’s eight core competencies and sub skills described in the COPA Model Presentation or the Lenburg’s et al. article, “The framework, concepts, and methods of the competency outcomes and performance assessment (COPA) model.”

Review your reflective learning/thinking, critical thinking, and Benner assignments (which will be an attachment with this order) to identify the COPA Model competency and sub skills that you met in the experiences you described in each of these assignments.

Explain why you believe you met the competency(ies) and sub skills you identified.

Use Benner’s Stages of Clinical Competence to identify your level of proficiency in each of the five experiences you described in the three assignments(which will be an attachment with this order).
These include the:
reflective learning/thinking experience;
critical thinking experience; and
three experiences you included in your Benner competency assessment assignment.
Use Benner’s criteria to provide a rationale for the level of proficiency you believe you demonstrated in these experiences.
