The preference for the face to face interaction was mainly by the people in the adolescent and late adolescent stages. Face to face interaction was more effective as one was able to bond more with the members of the group (Folbre, pg 190).
The reason for such findings is that more and more people have adopted a belief that any individual has the capability of deciding when to use the mobile devices or not when to use them, especially in public. It is important to note that during the study the use of mobile devices such a smart phones in accessing social media, the women glanced frequently on their smart phones than the men (Newman, pg 190).
In the duration that the research was taking place, some research tools and abilities had to be put in place to ensure the success of the research. The abilities that were put to use included the ability to observe without interacting with the persons under observation, the person also had to be alert at all times to ensure that nothing was missed.
