Pick a policy implemented by President Obama or proposed by Trump and discuss its impact on
the economy and quality of life (discuss how it may affect people outside of income/GDP)
The policy does not have to explicitly be about the economy, it could be health care, immigration
etc., but the focus should be on the impact to the economy/quality of life.
Your analysis should include:
-brief summary of the policy
-both the short run and long run impact (this can be their rationale or yours)
-your opinion w/ justification
It does not have to be super long or written like a paper, you can use outline, bullet points etc. if
you prefer. It just needs to be clear, concise and display your understanding of concepts from
class.

How it’s going to be graded
It is worth up to 10 points extra on your final, which could change your overall grade up to 2%.

I have up until now been reluctant to give extra credit opportunities mainly because I do not see
why I should bump a B student to an A for just doing extra “B level” work. With that in mind, your
extra credit will only be worth something if it is better than your actual grade. So, a B student
turning in B work won’t receive any additional credit, but a B student that turns in A work will be
given points.
