        Nursing Process      I think that the project management steps provide a great framework for organizing nursing processes. First, the assessment and initiation stages have a strong positive correlation because both stages involve the identification and description of the existing needs and issues. During the assessment stage, the nurse identifies and describes the patient’s physiological, psychological and spiritual needs and issues. Similarly, during the initiation stage, the project team identifies and defines the goals of the desired change. Secondly, the diagnosis and planning stages have a strong positive correlation because both stages involve the systematic identification of the underlying cause of the issues or problems identified in the first stage (Sengstack & Boicey, 2015). During the assessment stage, the nurse systematically identifies the root cause of the patient’s problems. Similarly, during the planning phase, the project team develops a detailed plan that describes the key issues to be resolved, the relevant solutions, needed resources and risks.

            Thirdly, the implementation and execution and control stages have a strong positive correlation because the stages involve the application of interventions to bring out the desired change or outcomes. During the implementation stage, the nurse applies the most appropriate clinical interventions to resolve the physiological, psychological and spiritual needs identified during the diagnosis. Similarly, during the execution and control stages, the project team works on the project. Finally, the evaluation and closure stages have a strong positive correlation because both stages involve the assessment of outcomes to determine whether the set goals and objectives were met (Bogaert & Clarke, 2018). During the evaluation stage, the nurse reassesses the patient to see whether he or she attained the desired level of health and wellbeing. Similarly, during the closure, the project is completed, the success evaluated and the vital lessons documented. This stage is crucial for all the stakeholders to understand that the project has ended.
