• Suggest at least one (1) scenario in which understanding the Five Stages of Group Development could help you to work more effectively in groups in the future. Provide a rationale for your response.
• Reflect on at least one (1) experience that you have had being a member of a group and at least one (1) different experience that you have had being a member of a team. Classify the characteristics of being a member of the group that made the experience different from being a member of the team.

These famous words by John Donne were not originally written as a poem – the passage is taken from the 1624 Meditation 17, from Devotions Upon Emergent Occasions and is prose. The words of the original passage are as follows:

More Than Words” and “Who Will Lead Us?” Please respond to the following:

Next, give two (2) specific examples of how body language can be a barrier to effective communication in the workplace. Then, suggest a strategy that you could use in your current or future workplace to ensure that your body language does not interfere with the message you want to communicate.
• Select which leadership theory most accurately describes your current or future approach to leadership. Based on the selected theory, give one (1) example from your personal or professional life when your leadership was effective and one example when your leadership was not effective. Reflect on a lesson that you learned from the ineffective leadership experience which you could apply to similar situations in the future.
Keep in mind for the first part that only about a third of what we communicate in person comes from the words themselves. About two thirds come from the nonverbals.

For the second, you have to choose a leadership style from Chapter 12 before telling your good and bad work stories.
