Summary of Clinical Leadership Observation (30%)

Clinical Journal submit a clinical journal (minimum 6 submissions) addressing at least one of the criteria (a-e) listed below
Each student must complete 30 clinical leadership practicum hours with a Clinical Preceptor, a Nursing Leader or Nurse Manager and submit a Student-Preceptor Learning Contract.

Use of problem-solving approaches: How did your nurse manager/leader

major elements of leadership as learned in class.

Explore the role of leadership and management as practiced by nurses in the organization (reflect this in clinical observation summary).
Compare and contrast leadership and management styles as practiced within this setting with those learned in class (reflect this in clinical observation summary).
Analyze the formal and informal goals and objectives of the nursing unit or organization (reflect this in clinical observation summary).
Submit a clinical observation summary at the end of the course.
Communicate with course faculty regarding progress toward course objectives using the Learning Contract.
Participate in clinical evaluation process
