Some controls are ordered by government policy and others are performed by healthcare organizations to better the safeguard patients and personal health information. Some of these areas may include administrative safeguards, physical safeguards, and technical safeguards. Some of these regulations require the organization to establish risk assessment, risk management programs, and developing and deploying policies and procedures.
