For your final assignment in this class, I would like you to write a review on an exhibition by an contemporary artist of your choice. You may choose any show you like, whether in a museum or an art gallery – here in New York, or outside the city.

The goal here is to write about a living artist making work today.In it, please address the following:

• The basics: who is the artist? Where is the show? How long is it on view for?
• The artwork: describe what you see, giving the details that enable your reader to see what you’re seeing. You need not discuss every work of art. Choose a few that support your argument.

3) What you see: in your opinion, how does this work reflect something of the culture at large? Is this artist addressing ideas that are political? Cultural?Religious? In other words, what are the larger questions/ideas you see? [Note: what you see may differ from what the artist’s intentions are.] Is this art successful? Is it not? Why?

• Research and consult at least one outside source on the artist you have chosen. You may not use an existing review of the show as your source. Repeat: you may not use an existing review as your source. For this assignment, you’re the art critic. You’re the one responsible to telling your reader what you think and why.
• Attach copies of any images you have taken or worked from to your paper.

 

My requirement for revision:

1. grammar and sentence, because my grammar is not very good, so you can help me find the syntax, and then writes the sentences of some of the fluent. you can refer to my B + paper on this subject.
2. The teacher always said my thought is not deep enough, so I will put every analysis of a work with photos,please help me deepen the idea, it is better to add some historical background to each of them. If I have any description of observation which is not accurate, you can help me to add some more.
3. Please help me check whether my article is in line with the requirements of the teacher. If there is anything not meeting the requirements, please help me to change it. Because it is a large paper so I am a bit afraid of what I wrote did not meet the requirements
