Choose two parables from Matthew that seem to present competing worldviews: humankind as essentially good vs. humankind as essentially base, god as loving vs. god as judging, or a story promoting forgiveness and magnanimity vs. one promoting judgment and exclusivity. Compare the two parables and make an argument about their relationship with each other and with the Gospel as a whole. Do they truly stand in direct contradiction?

Do they represent some underlying tension between ideologies in the text? Do they fit into a complex system of morality or complement each other in some way? ….. This is the exact prompt.. There needs to be quotes analyzed at least 5 or 6 throughout the essay. Quotes need to be analyzed very in dept. Need to respond to the quotes by saying how the author is expressing his ideas with his language and why does it matter and how does this quote support the idea of the essay.

Make sure the quotes and whenever the passage is incorporated to cite it. There does not need to be any outside examples and or quotes only examples and quotes from the text, therefore no bibliography.
