You will identify and research a pressing problem in america government about which you feel strongly and come up with a solution. You will than write a letter to one member of the executive or legislative branch who you identify as being able to implement the solution; his/her email or mailing address must be included in the letter. Your letter should explain the problem, provide evidence of the existence and scope of the problem, and propose a real solution. The letter should approximately be 1-2 pages. The paper MUST INCLUDE: Evidence: Identify with the problem, and provide evidence of the existence and extend of their problem. Solution: No magic bullets! When you identify the problem you must come up with a real solution- how will it be implemented? What path through the government will it take? SOURCES: You need at least 3 sources (more are encouraged). They should be high quality sources peer reviewed journals, scholarly books, reliable websites,. ALL your sources must be cited via ON-TEXT CITATION- You may use parenthetical, footnotes, or end-note format, but you must cite every piece of information you quote of paraphrase.
