Locate and attend a group of your choosing in which you can observe group process and interaction. Hospitals often have support groups of different types. Open 12-step meetings are also a possible choice. Some places of worship or retreats have support groups that are available for open participation. If possible, attend a meeting of the state’s licensing board. It is also a group with a task.

In 250-500 words, write a review or summary of what you observed.

Develop a sociogram to evaluate the activity of your chosen group. Look for those who are:

2. Ignored (neither rejected nor spoken to)

3. Isolated (inactive and not encouraged to participate)

4. Reciprocal

5. Cliques

6. Rejected (not spoken to by anyone)

7. Influential (supported by the most active)
