THEORETICALLY ANALYSING AN ORGANIZATIONAL CASE STUDY

For the purposes of this essay a case study is a particular event/situation affecting/involving one or more organizations. They can be taken from any media source (newspapers, magazines, internet news etc). In selecting your case study, you should ensure it contains enough detail to allow an in-depth analysis (not short articles of only a couple of paragraphs). Your analysis can be based on one source alone, (e.g. one newspaper article), however, if your case study situation is covered in a number of different media sources/articles you can make use of more than one source, but should include a maximum of three separate sources only. The case study sources used must be taken from the media and have been published in the period Jan 2015-Dec 2015. Essays must focus on and make use of topics/themes examined in MGT 219, and must link together ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE and GENDER/SEXUALITY The module will be assessed by a single 2,500 word essay, You will need to find your own case of organisational behaviour from any recent media sources (January 2015 -December 2015) and critically discuss it, using Only TWO themes (weekly topics) from this module. There is a wide range of possible sources including newspapers, internet, practioner journals etc. More than one source can be used for the same news story/article, but no more than three and the case study articles used must have been in the media in the Last Twelve Months. The case material needs to be detailed enough to give a clear picture of the situation (normally around 500 – 700 words).
