A few notes…

#1 – the grading rubric is part of the course reader – please be aware of how points may be lost for those who dont conform with the style guide (margins, end notes, abstract in a “box”)

#2 – please turn on all of the grammar checking functions in Word (especially the “passive voice” flagging options) and use this to help clean up your writing

excessive “passive voice” is discouraged (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_passive_voice)

What I mean is the following…

(passive voice, third person) “The advice of the experts was followed by the author.” (the real subject of the sentence is found in the predicate – bad)

(active voice, first person) “I will follow expert advice.” (short, succinct and to the point – good)
First person is allowable, so long first person (I or We) is utilized in a manner consistent with the direct action or opinion of the author that is relevant to the argument.

(good) “We believe that the statistical evidence demonstrated in Figure 5 indicates a strong correlation between education and future income.”

(bad) “I looked up data on the internet and found that the wingspan of a Boeing 737 was 93 feet” —> should write it up as “According to wikipedia, the wingspan of a Boeing 737 is 93-feet from tip-to-tip.”

I do not how many sources we should use. Please read the details and attachments clearly
